At Kid Explorer Club, we're seeking STEM Visionaries to pioneer transformative experiences for our campers. As a STEM Visionary, you'll lead the charge in guiding young minds through engaging curriculum, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills in the fields of STEM and the creative arts.


Position Details:

  • Age Group: 6-8 years old
  • Activities: Team-building, group games, field trips, expert workshops, science challenges, and art projects
  • Weekly Themes: Oceanography, cooking, urban design, sports science

Schedule:

  • In-season: Late June through mid-August, Monday to Friday, 7:45 am – 3:30 pm
  • Pre-season: Early June, select weekends for training and site preparation
  • Compensation: $16/ hour
  • Additional Opportunities: Morning Extended Day (7:15 am arrival)



Responsibilities:


Pioneering Camp Excellence

  • Lead a group of 20 campers through a meticulously planned schedule, ensuring engagement and enthusiasm
  • Deliver pre-written curriculum with creativity and vigor, igniting curiosity and exploration
  • Uphold safety protocols rigorously, ensuring the well-being of campers and staff alike

Nurturing Physical, Social & Emotional Safety

  • Support campers in their holistic development, fostering emotional resilience and social skills
  • Represent Kid Explorer Club passionately to families and facility partners, embodying our values at every interaction

Being an Active Member of the Camp Team

  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment and adaptability, embracing challenges and supporting colleagues as needed
  • Approach each day with an innovative mindset, seeking opportunities for growth and improvement


Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old (16-18 years old may apply for our Junior Counselor role)
  • Physical capability to engage with small children and participate in outdoor activities for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally
